Outpost is our take on a bakery: Australian in spirit, rooted in Lancashire, and made for people who care about really good food.

We opened in Eccleston to do things a little differently. Relaxed in feel. Serious about what goes on the shelf. We’re bakery fanatics. We’ve trained and worked in some of the country’s finest kitchens, and that experience shows up in everything we make – from naturally leavened bread to hand-laminated viennoiserie and pastry, all made from scratch, every day.

We work with heritage grains, good dairy and genuinely seasonal produce, building our menu around ingredients we know and producers we trust. Then we bring the technique, precision and a little Australian personality.

The result? Something that feels right at home in Lancashire, but doesn’t quite play by the usual rules. No shortcuts. No conveyor-belt baking. Our sourdough gets the time it needs. Our viennoiserie is laminated by hand. Our menu changes with the seasons. Come hungry. Leave curious.
